Eachgroup plays their own game of VIP. (In among us terms) there is a imposter, who must try his hardest to remain secret. Everyone else in that group must find out who he/she is before the game is over. However, due to the fact there is multiple people in each class, the VIP will have his own class mates in the same group. BecauseClassroom of the Elite is not as much of an action story and as such the point of view you get from reading the novel is much better and more detailed than what you would get in the manga. Plus, the novel is much further in the story so there would be more to read. The anime was actually alot more faithful to the light novel.
